It depends on a couple of things; garland size, experience, inflation tools and working with other materials like flowers.
If you've made one before, you can finish within an hour. If it's your first balloon garland and aren't used to many DIY projects, we recommend giving yourself 2-3 hours to make your garland at your own pace. Set aside enough time before your party to complete it stress free! While at it, put on some 🎶 , it makes the time go faster.
o Tips & Hints ✏️ :
- Have a buddy help you out! The more helping hands the better. Have one-person pump, while the other ties and attaches.
- You can make your garland the night before! Store it indoors, away from sunlight until the day of event.
- Purchase an electric pump – This speeds up the process but takes away the arm workout 💪
With latex balloons, inflate until just before you start seeing a pear shape🍐. Once you see the pear, you’ve gone too far, let some air out till the balloon is round again. Before tying, you can deflate some air by pressing the base of the balloon on a flat clean surface or into your body to achieve a rounder shape.
For foil balloons, you should inflate until the seams of the ridges are just smoothened out and then STOP to avoid popping.

We recommend no more than 48hours prior to event to ensure they look the best at your event. Please ensure you store inflated balloons out of direct sunlight. For outdoor installations, prepare 48 hours in advance but keep indoors until ready for use. Latex balloons oxidise when exposed to sunlight.
Your Balloon Garland can be hung on a wall using the command hooks provided. Using a frame or balloon arch? You might want to use fishing line to secure your garland instead. Click here for a visual demonstration.
Balloons are flexible so try swapping balloons around but be careful not to pop them.
For bigger spaces insert single balloons into space and secure with glue dots provided. They are extremely adhesive so be certain where you want to put them!
For smaller spaces, you can use the smaller balloons by either forming clusters and securing them in place with glue dots, fishing line or modelling balloons. If you have bought a luxe kit, then you can also use flowers as fillers.

There are a few things that affect how long a balloon lasts after being inflated. It goes without saying that with balloons, their lifetime is affected by the condition they are in. They will last the longest (2-7weeks), if you keep them indoors with no direct sunlight, air conditioning or adverse heating running in the room to avoid them oxidising.
When balloons are oxidised, they will lose their natural shine and become matte and dull in appearance, confetti balloons will become cloudy. Balloons will also shrink faster on a cold winter night or in a room with air conditioning.
Balloons filled with air last longer than those filled with helium and latex balloons can be treated with Hi-Float to make them last longer.
With outdoor installation, balloons may oxidise as quickly as half an hour and some balloons may pop randomly on a really hot day or in a hot room. Generally, you can only assume outdoor garland to last for the day.
To prolong their life, we recommend keeping pre-inflated balloons in a sealed balloon transport bag until they are used.
All our balloons are sourced from the best suppliers in the industry. Balloons are very fragile and delicate and so must be treated with great care. Avoid over inflating balloons, handling with sharp objects and nails. Keep out of direct sunlight and handle with care.
Hereat LTS we understand that sometimes mistakes happen and balloons sometimes pop, it happens to the best of us! We have got you covered, check for the bag labelled “Extras”. Just swap the balloons out, we won’t tell if you don't🤐 . Discard broken balloon pieces immediately and more importantly, PROPERLY (see below for proper disposal).
⚠️ Deflated latex balloons are a choking hazard for young children under 8yrs.
This happens due to oxidation. The latex reacts the UV light from the sun which in turn changes the appearance of the balloon to a cloudy or velvety finish. Balloon shine will reduce the reaction oxidation however this process does not stop the oxidation process bur rather only slows it down.

Our latex balloons are made from 100% natural biodegradable latex with no added fillers. The latex is produced from plants and trees, allowing it to decompose back into the environment after use. We encourage you to dispose of latex balloons in your household waste where they will decompose in landfill overtime.

Foil balloons are not biodegradable; however, they can be reused multiple times and should be recycled once worn out.
Balloons can last for years if stored properly. Please keep balloons away from continuous exposure to extreme temperatures and in an air tight bag.

Of course! Making your DIY Balloon Garland is part of the fun! And the entire family can join in! The more helping hands the better! However, please supervise children at all times. Balloons are not toys and can pose a choking hazard to young children.
To be safe, parents should:
- Supervise children under the age of 8
- Collect and discard all broken balloon pieces as soon as it breaks

Once the package has left our warehouse, it's more effective to contact the courier directly. Have your tracking information handy so they can help you track it down.

We are so sorry to hear that your package may be lost or stolen! The first step would be to contact the shipping carrier provided in your tracking email or your local post office with your tracking details. Then email us at info@lilytheswan.com with your order number and would do our best to track your package down.
We accept all major cards including American Express, Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards.
Our payments platform are data encrypted, PCI compliant and support 3D secure checkouts.
Please ensure that the billing address entered on your order matches the address the payment card is registered to.

Once you've placed your order, you will be directed to an order confirmation message which will contain your order number. This information will also be emailed to you; this can take up to 30 minutes to arrive in your inbox- so hold tight!
Once our team at our warehouse have processed your order, you will receive a second email to let you know that your order is on its way to you.
If you have not received your order confirmation please check your Junk/Spam folder, sometimes good things end up there by mistake.

Unfortunately, our current systems do not accommodate changes however orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placing them.
Please let us know of changes ASAP. After the package has left our warehouse, we may not be able to make any changes. If the package is returned by the carrier, we will be happy to issue a refund for the items, or re-ship to a new address, but you will be responsible for all shipping charges incurred.
All orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placing an order. It will take 5 -10business days for monies to be refunded to card used for purchase.

- Your name
- Your order number
- Product name (this can be found on your order confirmation email)
- Picture of the fault / incorrect item
We are very sorry if you have received a wrong or faulty item and will do all we can to rectify that situation with urgency! Please let us know what you ordered and what you received in its place. Missing, incorrect, or damaged items must be reported to us within 14days of receipt of the package. Please keep the entire contents of the package as we may need photos of the damaged parcel in order to file a claim.
Your order should arrive to you of highest quality, if your order is damaged during delivery please send us an email at info@lilytheswan.com with picture evidence.
We want you to be happy with your order so we offer a 100% Satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you don't love your items they can be returned within 14 days of the order date. All we ask is that goods are returned to us unused and in their original unopened packaging.
Custom and bespoke kits can only be returned if the goods are faulty.

Please note that we, unfortunately, will be unable to issue refunds or honour returns based on balloon breakage as a result of improper usage.
